In 2019, I was contracted by Paragon Verve Marketing, an agency known for its innovative approach to branding and marketing. My task was to design social media creatives and branding materials for the 31st Chartered Institute of Marketing, Ghana (CIMG) Annual Marketing Excellence Awards. The event is one of the most prestigious in Ghana's marketing industry, celebrating outstanding achievements in the field. The goal was to create visuals that would enhance the event's visibility and highlight the importance of marketing excellence in Ghana.
Problem
The CIMG Annual Marketing Excellence Awards, though well-established, needed a fresh and modern visual identity to match the evolving landscape of marketing in Ghana. Paragon Verve wanted to ensure the event’s branding aligned with CIMG’s professional image while capturing the energy and innovation of the marketing industry. The challenge was to design a cohesive set of social media creatives and branding materials that would generate excitement, drive engagement, and maintain a polished, high-end look in line with CIMG’s reputation.
Solution
Working closely with Paragon Verve Marketing, I developed a series of dynamic social media creatives and branding assets that aligned with CIMG’s vision for the 2019 Awards. The designs featured a sleek, modern aesthetic, with a gold and black color scheme symbolizing excellence and prestige. The social media visuals highlighted the award categories, key nominees, event details, and sponsors in an engaging format, utilizing motion graphics and bold typography to capture attention. In addition to social media assets, I created banners, backdrops, and other event branding elements that provided a seamless experience both online and in-person.
Impact
The branding and social media creatives significantly boosted the event's visibility and engagement. The CIMG Annual Marketing Excellence Awards garnered increased interaction on social media platforms, with a 35% rise in mentions and shares compared to previous years. The visually cohesive branding strengthened CIMG’s image, contributing to a more polished and memorable experience for attendees, sponsors, and participants. Paragon Verve Marketing received positive feedback from CIMG and event stakeholders, solidifying the agency’s relationship with the organization and ensuring the success of the 2019 edition of the Awards.
